Golondrina Box

German nickel plated golondrina, or swallow, atop a wax cast leather-lined box. In Mexico, golondrinas are an important symbol of family, when young birds are ready to leave the nest, the parents push them out, but then fly beneath them.  If the young birds begin to fall, the parents are there to catch them.  

We all need someone to catch us from time to time. Hold those moments and memories dear . . .
